Email support@edgecase.works and mention Lanelark.
Missing an alert?
Open Lanelark → Settings and check notification access and your saved commute days. Try Send test notification. Focus modes and Scheduled Summary can delay alerts; check your iPhone notification settings. Internet is required. Alerts stop after 90 days without opening the app.
How recommendations work
We compare Apple Maps driving estimates at several departure times in your chosen window, prefer an earlier option within two minutes of the fastest estimate, and honor an arrival deadline when possible. Estimates refresh near your commute, and you receive one heads-up per direction per day unless you select another reminder. A selected alternative becomes your next reminder. Estimates are predictions and do not guarantee a traffic-free trip or an exact arrival.
Departure alarms
On iOS 26 or newer, tap Set reminder or alarm or choose an alternative departure. Turn on Use an alarm and choose when it should ring. Allow Lanelark alarm access when prompted. This is a one-time system alarm managed by Lanelark, not an entry in Apple Clock. It sounds even in Silent mode or Focus and stays at your chosen time when traffic estimates change. Your iPhone must be powered on. Once scheduled, the alarm does not need internet access.
Settings shows active alarms, cancellation, and Test alarm in 10 seconds. Choosing another departure replaces that direction’s previous alarm. Skipping the commute, changing the relevant route or schedule, or deleting your data cancels its alarms. Earlier iOS versions can use commute notifications.
Automatic commute direction
Tap Enable location switching on the dashboard and allow location access while using the app. Near work, Lanelark selects Back home; near home, it selects To work. Away from both places, or when the location is uncertain, your current view stays selected. You can always choose either direction yourself. Location is checked again when you reopen Lanelark, and only while it is open. Enable Precise Location if the app cannot distinguish your places. Settings → Switch with my location turns this feature off. Location-based view changes do not change reminders or alarms.
Missed your departure window?
Your saved commute is shown by default. After the saved window ends, turn on Show times from now to compare later departures. Turn it off to return to your commute; reopening the app also starts with the commute view. Switching views does not change a selected reminder or alarm.
Changed plans?
Use Skip this commute, choose another departure, or edit your schedule. Windows may span up to four hours within a single calendar day. Morning and evening commutes can use different days.
Data and driving
You choose the places. Optional automatic direction checks your location on your iPhone while Lanelark is open, without background tracking or trip recording. Your schedule uses the time zone saved during setup. Check your commute time zone when traveling. Always check conditions and use Maps safely before driving.
